个人简介


郭天南,2006年毕业于华中科技大学同济医学院临床医学七年制,同时获得武汉大学生物科学双学位。2007-2008年曾在新加坡国立肿瘤中心从事医学研究工作。2012年获得新加坡南洋理工大学博士学位。2012-2017在瑞士苏黎世联邦理工大学Ruedi Aebersold教授实验室从事博士后研究。2017年初至七月在澳大利亚悉尼大学儿童医学研究所ProCan任Scientific Director,肿瘤蛋白质组Group Leader,悉尼大学医学院兼聘高级讲师。2017年8月加入浙江西湖高等研究院(西湖大学前身)任特聘研究员。


学术成果


数以千计的蛋白质存在于几乎所有生物体内,以不同的浓度混合,相互协作,执行各种生命活动。我们课题组的使命是在尽可能短的时间内,从尽可能小量的生物样本中,对尽可能多的蛋白质进行准确定量,进而解析生命活动的数学规律,最终实现基于蛋白质组的精准医疗,详见《年轻的蛋白质组学:华丽的诞生和成长的烦恼》。


课题组组长长期从事蛋白质组学相关研究,在蛋白质组技术开发和应用上做出多项原创性技术成果。在新加坡攻读博士学位其间,于2010年获得国家优秀自费留学生奖学金, 之后于2011年获得生命科学领域吴瑞奖学金。在Ruedi Aebersold教授实验室作为主要执行者建立了一套独特的高通量临床蛋白质组方法学(高压循环-卫星扫描质谱技术,PCT-SWATH),解决了将蛋白质组学实际应用于医学临床检验的一个核心技术难题, 实现了对小量临床样本的高重复性高通量的质谱分析,并将其应用于大量的临床样本(包括前列腺癌、肾癌等)以寻找生物标志物。基于PCT-SWATH,申请者协助多国合作者们建立了首批工业级别的大型临床蛋白质组平台。此外,现正将该质谱技术应用于临床检验诊断的几个关键领域,包括肿瘤样本的异质性和肿瘤药敏性预测方向,做出一些原创性工作。
