Biography

Dr. Yuxuan Xiang was born in Deyang, Sichuan, China. He received his bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (2016) and his PhD degree from Xiamen University (2021). His PhD work was about developing advanced NMR-based techniques to track the failure process of high-specific energy lithium/sodium batteries. He joined in School of Engineering, Westlake University as a Westlake Fellow in august 2022.

Research

Yuxuan’s research focus on developing advanced characterization tools, including in-situ solid-state NMR/X-ray diffraction techniques, mass spectrum titration techniques to understanding the degradation mechanisms of lithium/sodium ion batteries. He has published more than 40 research papers in top academic journals such as Nature Nanotechnology, Science Advances, Materials Today, Advanced Materials, etc.
