Huxin Lecture

The Huxin Lecture Series was initiated in 2020 by the President of Westlake University, Yigong Shi. It is the first lifelong learning platform at Westlake University that is open to the public, offering non-degree and non-credential educational resources.

 

The Huxin Lecture Series is open to all for the purpose of greater public awareness of science and technology. It is part of our commitment to giving back to our community.

Huxin Open Lecture

 

Huxin Open Lectures are free of charge and offered quarterly to give back to society by disseminating knowledge, opening people’s eyes, and inspiring the general public through science and humanities.

Huxin Campus Tour

 

Through laboratory visits, campus tours, dialogues, exhibition displays, knowledge sharing, and interactive experiences, the Huxin Campus Tour guides high school students to take their curiosity beyond classrooms and to explore and experience the university campus in an immersive way.

Huxin Creative Science Outreach Program

 

Huxin Creative Science Outreach Program invites Westlake students to introduce scientific research projects in an approachable and exciting way through creative displays, interactions, and videos to popularize scientific knowledge for the general public.

Huxin Drifting Bottle Book Donation

 

The project collects books donated by the Westlake community and the audience of Huxin open lectures, and then donates the books to teenage students in less developed regions, passing on knowledge and love.

 
Huxin Lecture Notes

 

Huxin Lecture Notes compiles the essence of Huxin Open Lectures and is presented for free to teenage students and the public in the hope of promoting science communication and the spirit of exploration.
